Seriously excited to share this peplum with you guys!!! I’ve been wanting to add a peplum top into the mix for a while now, and once I stopped looking for it, it found me :).  I’ve tried on peplums before but never found one I totally loved. After seeing them everywhere I needed to get my hands on one :). From coats and tops to skirts and dresses, peplums range from all different styles; my suggestion is (the golden answer we all love)…try.it.on!!! I know some of you ladies think “ain’t nobody got time for that” and if you don’t have time..then start with a simpler structure but you really want to try to find the right style for your body type. I totally fell for this one because the extravagant waistline and the scuba material was right on point ;). Xo

Spring to Summer: Basic Transition

Today I’m picking my top 5 essentials you’ll definitely be reaching for in the coming months!

1. White Denim
I have been living in my white distressed jeans and absolutely loveee them! I promise you, you’ll be happy you invested in a pair because they literally go with everything and give you that refreshed feeling.

2. Espadrilles
Up until the other day, I’ve been completely mispronouncing these shoes, but everyone seems to know what I’m taking about, LOL! These shoes have been a major must-have this summer and are an automatic go-to for that easy answer.

3. Over-sized fedora
Lighten up and opt for a wide brimmed hat to keep you looking stylish and out of the heat. I just recently got this one and love this one. Can you ever really have too many hats?!

4. Mirrored Aviators
If you haven’t noticed by now, I can’t live without my aviators. The mirrored are fun for summer and hello! a built in mirror! LOL, but really, the colors are endless.

5. Cutoffs
It’s true you guys, I have a MAJ obsession with shoes, but my denim obsession is almost up there with it. Seriously-it’s real. ha! When it comes to shorts, no questions asked I’m living in them come summer 100 degree weather. Totally love my vintage pair of levis and the looser fit.

3 ways to dress up distressed

Happy Friday beauties! Today I’m dressing up distressed. It’s fun, edgy, and an easy way to take your look from day to night. Here are a few pointers to achieve this casual-chicness with a few basics you already have in your wardrobe…

1.) Mix in dressy pieces to balance out the casual ones. A blazer is an automatic go-to when I want to dress something up. Even if you’re just wearing jeans, a tee and converse, throw on a blazer on and you’ve instantly transformed your look.

2.) Add height. Boyfriend jeans are already a little lose and not as slim as your typical skinny jean. Adding height will give the illusion of a longer silhouette while adding femininity back into the mix.

3.) Cuff ’em. You can do this to any denim but I love doing it with boyfriend jeans for an added touch. Here I cuffed them twice, but I also love cuffing them once and then folding the top hem downwards.

Hope you guys enjoyed these tips! Be sure to follow me on Pintrest for more tips and fashion inspo!
