ACL Festival Style

Today is all about festival style. It’s the last weekend of ACL and I’m teaming up with my blogger bestie/BFFI/gorg friend, Sylvia from Fixin To Thrill to bring you some of our favorite looks with Pink and Silver Fashion & O’day Designs.

Javier did an amazing job capturing our looks beautifully.

As you guys know, I have this thing with fringe and this dress had my name written all over it. I definitely wanted to go full on boho with rounded sunnies and bring out a little color with my favorite burgundy booties. This handmade brass choker from O’day Designs was the perfect detailing and so unique!

How perfect is Sylvias vest?! Um, LOVE it! From the color and the detailing on it….you can seriously wear it with anything and I can totally picture it dressed up with some white skinnies and nude pumps.

I definitely don’t mind experiencing with my style and this kimono was so fun! Tassels everywhere and the tribal pattern screams festival style. I’m OB.SESSED with florals right now and this dress Syliva’s rockin’ is one of my favorites for fall.

It’s always so fun catching up with one of my besties and although I won’t be able to make ACL this year *insert super sad face here*, I’m definitely going to try to make some side shows this weekend!

A special thanks to Pink & Silver Fashion, O’Day Designs, and Javiglz Photography for sponsoring this post.

3 Tips To Online Shopping

To be real here, I always used to rock plaid and flares growing up. Taking it back to the old school, I’m still on a mission to find a bigger ‘bell’ bottom, and I’m obsessed with these!

I love when I find exactly what I want online (i.e. this denim!) but I still have a love/hate relationship with online shopping. Nine times out of ten I’m more than likely to end up at the store returning it for a different size or something different all together. Being a detailed shopper, if I order something and don’t like it, I’ve learned most retailers won’t let you do an return + exchange if you order online, which means you have to return your purchase, wait to get the credit back, and then reorder what you want. It should be something I accept, but on top of having to wait for it to come in the mail, I just can’t! If you’re like me, and just can’t, here are a few tip’s I generally find helpful when it comes to online shopping…

1.) Be proactive. A lot of the time when I shop online I typically do it to either get ideas of what I’m looking for, or what to look for at the store-think H&M & Forever. It can be so overwhelming, so be proactive, and try not to get too distracted. It can be hard to do, but after a couple of times you’ll become a pro at it.

2.) Must-have’s only! Don’t get me wrong, if I absolutely have to have something-like these shoes, I don’t mind the wait and anticipation. I know, #FirstWorldProblems right?! But make sure you absolutely love it, and it’s not an impulse buy. (An amazing sale, is kind of hard to pass up!!)

3.) Free shipping. I always take into consideration how much I’m paying for shipping, but I pretty much always meet the free shipping cost. Always factor in your shipping cost to make sure it’s really worth it. If you can save a few bucks and they have it in store, scoop it up during your lunch break with a side of happiness.

Now…let’s have a moment of silence for all the clothes we added to our shopping cart but never bought.

Fun Fact: Stores I can’t go to are what I will typically order from first, only makes sense. 🙂

Definitely stuck in weekend mode yesterday. After a Sunday brunch with one of my besties, and tackling an ambitious dinner later that night, I decided to take a breather. Hope you all had an awesome weekend, seems as though they’re never long enough!

Ok, you guys…so I have a confession to make. I have seriously been living in these jeans for the past 2 weeks and funny thing is, they’ve been in my closet for the past year! I seem to go through phases of finding a favorite pair of denim in my wardrobe and re-working it into my outfits so don’t be mad when you start to see a trend ;).  With my constant coldness, and this some-what cooler Texas heat, I’m wrapping my favorite denim jacket to accentuate my waist and become an instant accessory. I can dig it!

Chambray Staple

There’s something about chambray that always works. Decided to start the new season with some staples I’ll definitely get plenty of use from. I love that chambray goes with anything and everything from my causal look here, to a dressy night out. It’s something I can grab as a cover-up or to accessorize, if I’m not wearing it as a shirt. Endless possibilities and totally worth the investment.

Here are some other chambray pieces that could totally work…
