This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending one of the most memorial events I’ve been to as a blogger, Wine Women & Shoes. A good friend of mine told me about it months ago and all she had to do was say “shoes” and I’m there. But when I found out it was a charity event for United Healthcare Children’s Foundation it really hit my heart.
The night started at the JW Marriott here in Austin with a “sole-man” escorting us upstairs where we were off to take pictures of our shoes and of course, have a little shoefie action :). Next up, we were given a wine glass to sample the awesome wines they had to offer and do a little mingling. There was a silent auction-how gorg is this Henri Bendel satchel?!…as well as vendors set up from Kendra Scott, to Lions in Four (an awesome scarf line) and I even found one of my favorite ATX jewelry designers there, Shira Melody.
Dinner was UH-mazing and so fun sitting next to the guest of honor, Jayden who’s story is so heart-filling. The night followed with a live auction, and search for shoe of the night, with a fashion show to follow-admiring some of the gorgeous pieces. Not to mention the desserts, I’m such a sucker for sweets ;).
