Hi fam! Hope it’s been a great week for you all. I’m so pumped to share this post with you guys because I know you’re not going to believe it. Ever get side tracked at The Rack and somehow find yourself on the shoe isle with decisions you have no business making? Me. Too.

As I walk away and talk myself out of every sandal I need, I spy SJP, in my size, with a jaw dropping worthy reaction. Although the decision was a no brainer, I still contemplated since I was trying to stay focused for what I was really there for—but who can focus with $15 Sarah Jessica Parker sandals staring into your sole??! Exactly.

In minutes, I had planned an imaginary girls trip to Mexico, drinking margaritas, dancing in until sunrise, all for the perfect place to wear them. What can I say, I’m a dreamer…in some amazing Italian SJP’s.

Wine Women & Shoes

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending one of the most memorial events I’ve been to as a blogger, Wine Women & Shoes. A good friend of mine told me about it months ago and all she had to do was say “shoes” and I’m there. But when I found out it was a charity event for United Healthcare Children’s Foundation it really hit my heart.

The night started at the JW Marriott here in Austin with a “sole-man” escorting us upstairs where we were off to take pictures of our shoes and of course, have a little shoefie action :). Next up, we were given a wine glass to sample the awesome wines they had to offer and do a little mingling. There was a silent auction-how gorg is this Henri Bendel satchel?!…as well as vendors set up from Kendra Scott, to Lions in Four (an awesome scarf line) and I even found one of my favorite ATX jewelry designers there, Shira Melody.

Dinner was UH-mazing and so fun sitting next to the guest of honor, Jayden who’s story is so heart-filling. The night followed with a live auction, and search for shoe of the night, with a fashion show to follow-admiring some of the gorgeous pieces. Not to mention the desserts, I’m such a sucker for sweets ;).

Spring to Summer: Basic Transition

Today I’m picking my top 5 essentials you’ll definitely be reaching for in the coming months!

1. White Denim
I have been living in my white distressed jeans and absolutely loveee them! I promise you, you’ll be happy you invested in a pair because they literally go with everything and give you that refreshed feeling.

2. Espadrilles
Up until the other day, I’ve been completely mispronouncing these shoes, but everyone seems to know what I’m taking about, LOL! These shoes have been a major must-have this summer and are an automatic go-to for that easy answer.

3. Over-sized fedora
Lighten up and opt for a wide brimmed hat to keep you looking stylish and out of the heat. I just recently got this one and love this one. Can you ever really have too many hats?!

4. Mirrored Aviators
If you haven’t noticed by now, I can’t live without my aviators. The mirrored are fun for summer and hello! a built in mirror! LOL, but really, the colors are endless.

5. Cutoffs
It’s true you guys, I have a MAJ obsession with shoes, but my denim obsession is almost up there with it. Seriously-it’s real. ha! When it comes to shorts, no questions asked I’m living in them come summer 100 degree weather. Totally love my vintage pair of levis and the looser fit.
