Cape Romper

You guys! I think I might’ve just found the most perfect outfit ever in life. Laced-up Cape Romper???! UM, YES PLEASE.

IMG_3698 IMG_3673

I stopped in the new DYLAN WYLDE boutique last week and wanted to never leave and shop forever, Ha! But in all seriousness…..this romper pulls out all the stops, from the laced-up perfection (that I can’t get enough of right now!)—opting to tie it all the way up for an added accessory & the cape detail is the perfect touch. Obsessed with rompers, especially with temps climbing. You can easily dress this up with heels and a clutch for date night or your next girls night out. Wanting to head back to Dylan Wylde for some One Teaspoon shorts and some perfect tee’s!! I think one reason why I didn’t want to stop shopping is because the vibe is so down to earth, and everything is just so pretty, (and totally affordable!!!)! Be sure to check out and give Dylan Wylde a follow on Instagam and stop by this weekend or your next shopping trip, for super perfect pieces for your summer wardrobe.

Have a super fab weekend! Xx

Special Thanks to DYLAN WYLDE for sponsoring this post.

Austin Fashion Week 2016 Wrap-Up

Today I’m super excited to share all about Austin Fashion Week and some of my absolute favorite designs. This year, I attend the kickoff party which was super fun—Think “girls night out” but with gorgeous models mingling in amazing outfits, flawless hair, and perfect makeup. Pretty sweet!!

Throughout the week I attended some AFW Soirees — Fortress of Inca shoes being one of them featuring Betty Alida’s Pop-Up shop! Y’all know my shoe obsession is real and I’m totally in loveeee with this pair. How perfect, right?! From shoes onto jewelry; Jen, the designer of Betty Alida is so detailed and intricate you can totally see how much love and hard work goes into each and every handmade piece.

Friday’s runway show was so fun! I was super pumped because I had the honor of meeting/hanging out with designer Lauren Nicole after the show. Lauren is a goal-driven sophomore in high school (yes, you read that correctly) that’s mastered the art of design, incorporating rich textures and sophisticated chic into her very first runway collection. Before the interview my nerves were definitely kickin’ but there was no time for panic. I was greeted by Ms. Kristen with AFW to go backstage and meet Lauren. Let me just say, backstage was the real deal y’all. Designers, models, clothes, racks on racks on racks…the whole nine yards! No pressure, right?! Ms. Kristen introduced me to Lauren and she was the absolute sweetest!  All nerves aside, I had to know from the designer herself…

Jonie: How do you feel after just having a super amazing runway show?!
Lauren: This was my first runway show and it’s been very challenging, and tiring, but I’m glad it happened—walking down the runway and seeing the pieces in front of me was just an amazing feeling. I have to admit I just came backstage and I started crying–It was a really great feeling!

Jonie: What is your favorite part about being a designer?
Lauren: I really have to say expressing my feelings and my thoughts and seeing them visually on a runway. I try to create to where any woman can wear this no matter her body type, no matter how old she is, what size she is, and the pieces are so versatile.

Jonie: Who is your modern muse?
Lauren: I love Valentino! His pieces are very romantic [kind of like my pieces], but they do have that out of no where twist. For example the Rockstud Heels are very girly, very sophisticated, and he kind of just throws things in that you would never expect.

Jonie: Shopping wise…normal day life, where do you go?
Lauren: Everywhere and anywhere! But my number one go-to is Nordstrom–They have everything!
IMG_5766-COLORJonie: Favorite thing to shop for?
Lauren: Shoes! I am shoe obsessed!!! I have 90-something pairs of shoes it’s crazy!

And on that note, I would love to see her closet :).

Art on The Edge Gala 2016

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending Art on The Edge at The Blanton Museum of Art here in Austin. It was one of the funnest events I’ve ever been to and reminded me of something you would see on tv, no lie LOL!

From the amazing band, to the cute hors d’oeuvres, I couldn’t get enough! For starters, I haven’t been to a museum in years so it was really inspiring to experience and admire the art as well as take a peak into their upcoming exhibition Come as You Are: Art of the 1990s — reminding you of all things forgotten about or in my case, molded my childhood.

Beauty Favorites

Lately I’ve been having a thing with all my beauty products — in a good way! I love trying new products and finding what works. Sephora is my absolute go-to for beauty because I can always find what I need and everyone there is so sweet to help and give you insight on what would work best for you; Plus they give you legit samples and who doesn’t love that?! A few weeks ago I tried out a new face cleanser and it just did not work for me. My skin had an allergic reaction to it, so after a trip to Sephora to return it – which by the way,  another reason I LOVE Sephora is because they let you return pretty much ANYTHING – I walked out with a few newbies and eager to try everything.

Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite beauty products I’ve been loving lately…
